Below are a few photos of R172 CDU taken during the1998 event. We are hoping we don't have to recover the vehicle from a similar position ourselves!

OK, for you obsessive types here is some more info on the vehicle, starting with the 'extras' on board:

Internal & external roll-cage,   electric winch,   full under-body protection,   snorkel,   roof lamps,   roof-tent,   Webasto pre-heater,   power invertor,   air compressor,   roof rack & ladder,   removable tow hitch / recovery point,   side roller-shutter (this provides easy access to recovery equipment),   the rear of the vehicle has been customised by Darren fitting boxes and cupboards for secure storage of camping and recovery equipment.
